Our Barn

Picture yourself curled up on a huge corner sofa, surrounded by your family or closest friends, while a log burner crackles nearby. Imagine laying back in a hot tub as the sun sets, sipping your favourite tipple, your working week a distant memory. These are just a few of the treats that await you here at Pen-Y-Glyn Barn, near Brecon.

Living Spaces

We would love to welcome you to our newly restored and redeveloped barn in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park with it’s outstanding and far-reaching countryside views.

It sleeps 14 comfortably and has been completed to a very high standard of interior decoration which makes it an ideal choice for a romantic getaway, special family occasion or as a group, giving luxury self-catering, privacy and independence.

The hub of the property is a large, open-plan lounge and a fully equipped kitchen that allows you and your group to make the most of your precious time together. There’s wood burning stove, which adds to the atmosphere and a large table which seats 14 –perfect for those family lunches or glamorous dinners.

Just off the kitchen is the games area - Try your hand at the pool and football tables.

Accessible: And for those who need accessible accommodation, we’ve got that covered too because the ground floor bedroom with en-suite which is ideal for the less mobile thanks to its accessibility, please note the bedroom is not suitable for fully registered disability.

Bedrooms

Pen-Y-Glyn Barn has six bedrooms, five of which have double beds (one of these has two double beds in the room, ideal for the kids, or a family) The sixth bedroom on the ground floor has a king size bed.

The bedrooms have been decorated to a high standard. And three of the bedrooms have en-suite (with showers), while the other three share a family bathroom (with bath) and a family bathroom (with shower) - Heated towel rails in all of the bathrooms.

Wardrobes, bedside cabinets, tables and hairdryers in the bedrooms and there’s plenty of landing space with corners for storage.

All Bedrooms have views of the countryside, with some having views out towards the beacons, but the biggest surprise on offer at Pen-Y-Glyn Barn - as you lay in bed at night ‘Just’ look up through the skylight - we are home to the highest quality dark skies in the whole of the UK, making it the perfect destination for stargazer - such as the Milky Way, major constellations, bright nebulas and even meteor showers. It’s enough to make anyone starry eyed.

Outdoors

From the living room you walk out onto the patio area with bbq and seating.

Main door leads out to the courtyard, covered over hot tub for 8 people, astro-grass and patio area.

Please Note: Guests are to provide their own towels when using Hot Tub/Swim Spa.

Children and dogs welcome..

Children and 2 well behaved dogs are welcome as our barn and grounds are child and dog friendly, please note the barn is within it’s own grounds, however we are on a working farm and ask that children and dogs are supervised at all times.
